Job Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager with the year-round maintenance, repair and operation of Xanterra maintenance in the Lake area facilities within Xanterra's land assignment and reports directly to the Lake Maintenance Manager. The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $1,100.00/weekly
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:

* Assist the Maintenance Manager in the supervision and management of all location maintenance employees.
* Provide the administrative, physical, and technical skills necessary for year-round troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and operation of Xanterra's facilities, equipment, and assets.
* Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, management, support, and leadership of maintenance staff consisting of both year-round and seasonal employees.
* Coordinate and provide proactive, timely and accurate information to maintenance staff, location Operations managers, Engineering staff, outside contractors, other concessioners, and the National Park Service.
* Ensure maintenance and facility operations are accomplished by staff and contractors in a safe, environmentally responsible, efficient, and effective manner in accordance with established policies and procedures.
* Responds to maintenance requests by all location departments, as well as work designated by the Maintenance Manager and Engineering personnel, as directed, with a spirit of cooperation.
* Document preventive and corrective maintenance including labor, materials, asset records and inventory records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Use the appropriate tools and materials needed for the completion of work orders in a safe and efficient manner.
* Contribute to a safe, clean, healthy, respectful, and cooperative work environment.
* Communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with a polite demeanor and professional appearance.
* Self-motivated, able to work independently with limited supervision, and willing to occasionally work overtime and/or nights. 
* Assisting Maintenance Manager in the supervision and management of all location maintenance employees.

Qualifications:

* Must have advanced knowledge of, and experience in facility maintenance and operation. Facilities Management experience in the hospitality industry is desired but not necessarily required.
* Advanced mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by previous employment and education.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical to this position.
* Must have the ability to lead maintenance staff toward a common purpose, establish and achieve meaningful goals and objectives. 
* Must demonstrate the skills required to effectively, efficiently, and autonomously manage a unique and historic maintenance operation. 
* Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to regroup and "manage on the fly" as unplanned requirements and situations present themselves. 
* Must be a self-starter, able to troubleshoot problems, ask the right questions and have the confidence to make hard decisions based on the best information available.
* Must possess knowledge of OSHA General Industry (1910) and Construction (1926) standards.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* Must possess a strong working knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), CMMS (Maximo), timekeeping (KRONOS or DayForce) and other mission-critical computer-based systems.
* Must be at least 21 years old and possess a current, valid, driver's license with a safe driving record for the past 3 years.

Physical Requirements include:

* This position may require the use of respiratory protection and will require compliance with applicable regulations including a clean-shaven face and medical screening.
* Must be able to walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions.
* Must possess physical stamina to withstand heavy, labor-related work in an outside environment, including standing, bending, kneeling, crawling for extended periods of time when required.
* Must be capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and crawl for extended periods of time as required.
