Overview:
To provide technical and administrative assistance to the Director of Engineering Services and to assist in the daily operation of the Engineering Department.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Director of Engineering in the full upkeep of the asset by using Synergy, scheduling and assigning work orders and preventative maintenance tasks, and other related projects.
* Assist the Director of Engineering in the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders by using Birchstreet.
* Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
* Maintain proper maintenance supplies.
* Respond to guest requests appropriately.
* Assist with completing the department schedule and administration of payroll and time off requests.
* Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinates their activities and training.
* Assume the full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Director of Engineering Services.
* Have a thorough understanding of Omni's safety equipment and programs including fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
* Have a thorough understanding of all trade skills and code.
* Must be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.
* Budget, forecasting and spending within limits. Control forecasting. Heat, light and power. Produce capital budget and quotes.

Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience
* Must have extensive HVAC and mechanical experience.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
* 2 years management experience required.
* 5 or more years of hotel engineering experience preferred.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay range: $90,000 - $100,000. The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate's qualifications and/or experience
