Overview: The Assistant Director of Community and Annual Giving is responsible for managing team projects and operations, which include reporting; database management; and the tracking of Jimmy Fund and Annual Giving teams' activity and giving. The position will provide new and improved tools, analysis, and reporting in support of team planning and manage special projects as applicable. The Assistant Director will also manage seasonal initiatives and provide additional staffing support to critical programs at targeted times of year. The Assistant Director will report to the Vice President of Community, Institutional & Annual Giving and will also work closely with the VP of the Jimmy Fund to build, manage, and sustain the teams' fundraising operations. Support the Division and Institute's ongoing commitment to creating and maintaining an inclusive and diverse community. Responsible for assisting the entire Division with reaching financial goals. The onboarding of this role will include a comprehensive training process which includes completion of online modules, shadowing colleagues, as well as hands-on learning experiences throughout the first calendar year in the role. Responsibilities: Special Projects * Partner with VPs and AVPs on complex projects, such as cross-functional initiatives, seasonal campaigns and anniversary celebrations. Staffing * Provide staffing support for Jimmy Fund events and Annual Giving including participation in targeted events and oversight of programs and portfolios on a seasonal basis and as needed. Strategic Planning & Reporting * Partner with VPs and Assistant Vice Presidents of Annual Giving, Peer to Peer Fundraising and Community Events and Partnerships to coordinate strategic goal setting process across all fundraising areas, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with organizational objectives. * Partner with F&RM and IS to ensure accurate tracking of KPIs. * Oversee cross-team reporting, infrastructure and dashboards; ensure timely, accurate access to fundraising metrics for decision-making and revenue forecasting to the department. * Identify data gaps and opportunities for optimization across the Division; develop strategic recommendations grounded in analysis. * Work with Information Services, Prospect Research, and Prospect Managers to develop, analyze, and monitor tracking tools for Jimmy Fund prospects. * Maintain existing reports while monitoring and addressing Jimmy Fund and Annual Giving's reporting needs as they arise, in collaboration with Prospect Managers, Senior Associate Director in Annual Giving, AVPs and VPs. * Represent the Jimmy Fund and Annual Giving teams' interests in cross-Division dialogue on reporting and tracking projects. Process & Operational Excellence * Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and redundancies in systems and workflows. Develop and implement streamlined processes that enhance team effectiveness, clarity, and collaboration across the Division. * Take a lead role in training new team members on Jimmy Fund and Annual Giving's business rules and practices. * Manage the Jimmy Fund and Annual Giving budget process and lead budget meetings. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required plus 4+ years of relevant work experience. Preference for candidates with previous project management experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail; and discretion are necessary. Ability to handle multiple tasks and complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Effectiveness in working with a variety of audiences and strong customer service are key. Demonstrated ability to navigate databases and reporting; to sort, synthesize, and communicate data; and to meet deadlines is essential. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel proficiency, is required. Ability to translate data into visual representations a plus. Understanding of Foundations Relations and Corporate Partnerships' policies and practices a plus.
