Overview: Selux, in Highland, is currently accepting applications for an Assembly Technician. Pay rate: $17.50-$18.50/hour Assemblers use a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment. Indidviduals will perform a series of operations to correctly assemble mechanical and electrical parts with the team. Responsibilities: * Employ lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement and waste elimination. * Utilizes manufacturing knowledge to improve process operations and affect positive change. * Perform assembly tasks following standardized work instructions and procedures while meeting production standard times to ensure continuous work flow. * Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble components accurately and efficiently. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines during assembly processes. * Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth assembly operations. * Communicate openly and proactively to address any challenges or issues that may arise during the assembly process. * Performs ERP transactions accurately to company policies and procedures. * Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed. * Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions. Qualifications: * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and procedures. * Ability to meet production standard times. * Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools. * Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced continuous workflow production environment while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines. * High school diploma or equivalent. * Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English.
