Responsibilities:

 As a Armed Security Officer - Veteran Opportunity in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring teamwork, integrity, and a people-first mindset while delivering agile, reliable, and innovative service during routine armed patrol operations.

 Pay Rate: $22.66 / Hour

 What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
* Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site directives, maintaining professional presence and following all applicable post orders for assigned government operations.
* Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations when required, and report security-related issues, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.

 Minimum Requirements:

* Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
* Be at least 21 years of age.
* An armed guard card/license is preferred.
* CPR/First Aid is preferred.
* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
