As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional assistance to riders, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon05:30 PM - 01:30 AMTue05:30 PM - 01:30 AMWed05:30 PM - 01:30 AMThur05:30 PM - 01:30 AMFri05:30 PM - 01:30 AM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding property. * Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate transit personnel, emergency services, and/or law enforcement as needed. * Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, vehicle access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns. * Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, verifying authorization when required and documenting incidents, hazards, and unusual conditions according to site procedures. * Maintain required firearm qualifications and follow applicable laws, regulations, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures regarding the carrying and use of assigned equipment. Minimum Requirements: * Have 3+ years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, Armed Security Professional, or be a certified Law Enforcement Graduate. * Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. * Possess an Armed Guard Card/License. * Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associate's Degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate. * Customer service experience is preferred. * Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
