Responsibilities: As a Armed Security Officer - Transit Center Patrol - Full Time in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a government location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to incidents as needed, all while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain proficiency with authorized equipment. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 08:00 AMTue12:00 AM - 08:00 AMFri12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSat12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSun12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You'll Do: * Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites * Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education * Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams * Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service * Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: * Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. * Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. * Monitor for unusual activity and report findings according to established protocols. * Interact professionally with the public, staff, and visitors while representing Allied Universal. * Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any security-related issues to the appropriate personnel. * Support law enforcement and emergency responders as required by site-specific procedures. What We're Looking For: * Availability across various days and shifts * Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments * A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company * Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: * Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles. * Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations. * An armed guard card or license is required. * Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred. * Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
