Responsibilities: As a Armed Security Officer - Site Patrol in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in supporting a government location by performing armed patrols and monitoring assigned areas. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This position requires you to carry out routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns. You will also be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and clear communication, building trust with those you interact with daily. As this is an armed post, candidates must meet all armed guard requirements. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.75 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon05:00 AM - 03:00 PMTue05:00 AM - 03:00 PMWed05:00 AM - 03:00 PMThur05:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: * Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites * Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education * Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams * Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service * Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: * Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities. * Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. * Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. * Monitor for unusual activity and report observations according to site protocols. * Interact with visitors, staff, and/or the public in a professional manner while upholding Allied Universal standards. * Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any security-related issues to the appropriate personnel. * Support law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents at the location. What We're Looking For: * Availability across various days and shifts * Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments * A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company * Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Must have 1 or more years of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles. * Must possess an armed guard card or license. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
