Responsibilities:
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Brownsville, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and customer concerns with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license and an armed post requiring Texas Level III certification. What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail grocery and/or shopping center location.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating with site management and/or local law enforcement as needed.
* Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity.
* Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, observing for suspicious behavior, unsecured doors, and policy violations, and reporting concerns through established channels.
* Complete timely incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, preserving observations and any evidence in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
* A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
* Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas only.
* A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
* Customer service experience is preferred.
* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
