Overview: Sev1Tech is seeking an Application Developer to support the Shipyard's modernization effort, this is a key funded position as part of a strong Agile/DevSecOps team supporting requirements remotely. *** 100% remote, full-time position*** SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Cloud/Software Developer, Journeyman will accomplish the following action items on an Agile team: * Decompose legacy applications into containerized solutions * Work closely with other team members (including the customer) to demo and deliver solutions via short sprint cycles * Must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills * Other Duties: Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice and other duties may be assigned by the lead Responsibilities: Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent industry experience in Software Development * Minimum 3 years demonstrated federal or commercial cloud development experience in AWS * Programming languages: Java, NodeJS, Python * Applications/Frameworks/Tools: Springboot/Quarkus, React/Angular, Kubernetes, GitLab, Docker, Jira, Confluence, Maven, Junit, Selenium, JBoss, Oracle Database, Postgres * Self-starter, able to work independently * Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Qualifications: * Security Plus certification and Operating System Certification
