Overview:
This position is responsible for organizational level maintenance, repairs and services of dining facility equipment to include but not limited to ovens, automated dishwasher machines, refrigeration units, tilt pans, steam kettles, juice machines. Exhibits superior workmanship and focuses upon a quality end product.
Responsibilities:
* Supervises appliance technicians in their performance of daily tasks.
* Assigns work to junior technicians and assists them as needed.
* Monitors work load status to ensure compliance with PWS.
* Maintains, services, troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs ovens, automated dishwashing machines, refrigeration units, tilt pans, steam kettles, juice machines and other small appliances in accordance with applicable operating and maintenance manuals.
* Reassembles unit after repairs are made, makes adjustment and lubricates parts as needed.
* Replaces defective parts such as switches, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, circuit boards or defective wiring.
* Operates and inspects machines and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
* Examines parts for excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges as necessary.
* Maintains accountability and serviceability of assigned tool sets and equipment.
* Conducts tests and inspects equipment, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
* Records and reports all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences.
* Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement and applicable Vectrus POs and PIOPs.
* Install and remove appliances as required.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Minimum Qualifications
* Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Requires vocational training in commercial appliance repair.
* Work experience can be substituted on a year for year basis.
* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license from country of origin for the purpose of obtaining and maintaining a valid Military or Kuwait Driver's License.
* Experience:
* Six (6) years of experience in the repair of commercial appliances.
* Must have an excellent understanding of all safety directives and polices regarding the operation of equipment.
* Skills:
* Possess manual skills for installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
* Possess excellent English oral and written communications skills.
* Collaborative work style fostering cooperation and teamwork.
* Exercise discretion and good sound judgment.
* Basic computer skills.
* Working Environment:
* Duties will involve working outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions including frequent dust storms, and high temperatures - up to 130F degrees in the summer months. Potential exposure to chemical or biological agents could exist. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain areas is required. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Normal work week is 48 hours, but must be able to work overtime or nights as required.
* Must be able to lift 25lbs continuously and 50lbs intermittently. Must be able to work overhead with arms raised for extended periods.
* Required to observe all safety and health requirements for office environment.
* Must have professional appearance, consistent with local customs.
