Overview: Anticoagulation RN Dubuque, IA Thursday/Friday 7:30AM-5:00PM Part Time Benefits Under the direction of a health care provider, Clinical Nurse RN, is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of our patients. Responsibilities: * Perform waived laboratory tests, schedule appointments, and document according to established guidelines provided in the Coumadin (Warfarin) therapy guidelines. * Adjust medication dosage based on INR lab results * Assist anti-coagulated patients both in office and via telephone management to assist maintaining a safe and therapeutic dosing regimen of Warfarin. * Work with multi-disciplinaries including Home Health, Long-Term Care, and Skilled Care facilities. * Manage office responsibilities which include documentation, records, and patient outreach. * Accurately administer medications orally, IM, sub-q and IV. * Coordinate the transfer of patients to hospitals. Qualifications: Education * Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nurses. * High school diploma required if work is performed in a complex CLIA lab. Experience * No previous clinical experience required beyond education requirements License(s)/Certification(s) * BLS * Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa/Wisconsin for Registered Nurse. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities * Strong interpersonal skills. * Ability to work as a team member. * Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures. * Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred. * Strong computer skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills.
