What you can expect from this role * Meridian OR * Part time * Sat-Sun 0645-1515 & Mon-Tues 1330-2200 * During this shift, the employee will work independently throughout the hospital in anesthesia supported areas to stock supplies, clean equipment, troubleshoot equipment, and set up for procedures. Opportunity for additional training in anesthesia and surgical services exist for this role! Qualifications * Education: High School Diploma or equivalent * Licenses/Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross Responsibilities: Under supervision of a licensed provider, the Certified Anesthesia Technician assists with routine to complex procedures before, during, and after anesthesia procedures. * Under supervision, assists anesthesia providers by setting-up equipment and preparing medications. * Assists the licensed provider with patient assessments, evaluations, transport, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines and airway management. * Assists the licensed provider in clinical settings such as the operating room (OR), obstetrics suite (OB), interventional and or diagnostic radiology, Post anesthesia care unit (PACU). * Assists in direct patient care under supervision in routine & emergency situations. * Acts as a resource and collaborates with other resources and departments by providing technical guidance and instruction as appropriate. * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
