What you can expect from this role

* The COSM Anesthesia Tech team is looking for an associate to fill a full time weekday shift. During this shift, the employee will work independently throughout the hospital in anesthesia supported areas to stock supplies, clean equipment, troubleshoot equipment, and set up for procedures the following day.  Opportunity for additional training in anesthesia and surgical services exist for this role!  

Qualifications

* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
* Licenses/Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification

Responsibilities:

Under direct supervision of a licensed provider, the Anesthesia Associate will perform assigned technical and supportive patient care tasks.

* Perform routine and delegated tasks within the scope of practice of the position. 

* Maintain supplies, equipment, instruments, and medications. Prepare carts and machines prior to start of cases. 

* Assess and identify compromises in sterility of supplies and equipment. 

* Assist Anesthesia personnel with the transport of patients. 

* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent 
* Experience: 0 years's 
* Licenses/Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
