Responsibilities:
Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has positions available for a limited-term, full-time engineering interns to work on aviation projects in Chicago office starting in May/June 2026 and ending in August/September 2026.
The intern will be responsible for assisting engineers, design technicians, and surveyors with airport civil engineering projects with the following:
* Design calculations, quantities, and cost estimates
* Performing field inspection, documentation, and survey work
* Program administration
* Technical research and writing
* Other tasks as assigned
A valid driver's license and frequent travel, including some overnights, will be required.
Successful candidates must have completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in pursuit of a relevant engineering or construction management degree from an accredited college or university.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
* Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/Civil3D software
* Construction Field Experience
* Relative coursework

Hourly Rate Range: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
