The Airfield Operations Supervisor job duties and responsibilities will be focused on assisting the Airfield Operations Manager in the execution of all aspects of Airfield Operations to include, but not limited to Passenger Terminal Operations (PAX Terminal Operations), Air Transportation Management Office, Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group Ops (A/DACG Ops), Airfield Maintenance and Operations, Airfield Crash/Fire/Rescue Operations, Aerial Port of Entry/Exit Operations, and Cargo Handling Operations. The Airfield Operations Supervisor serves as the acting manager in the absence of the Airfield Operations Manager due to R&R/PTO, EML, or off-site meetings. The Airfield Operations Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the provision of effective management and leadership of staff for the execution of airfield operations while maintaining transparency, integrity and compliance with established policies, procedures, rules and regulations. The Airfield Operations Supervisor must be an effective communicator capable of working with a diverse multi-cultural group of professionals and therefore must be able to read, write, and speak English. The Airfield Operations Supervisor will conduct professional and performance related counseling to the subordinate staff members as required.

Responsibilities:

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

* Assists in the management of processes and procedures to successfully provide Airfield Operations, Airfield Ground Support, Aerial Port Operations, and Air Terminal Services, Airfield Maintenance Operations, and all related airfield support services as required.
* Assists in the delivery of oversight for improvements to airfield infrastructure, including NAVAIDS, Airfield Surfaces and Arresting Gear Operation, Maintenance, and Repair (OM&R) requirements.
* Ensures performance standards are met or exceeded by all Airfield Support Services and develops surveillance strategies to ensure adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
* Assists in the management of Department Budgets, Production/ Administrative controls, Cost Reports, and Material Requisitions.
* Ensures uninterrupted customer service delivery and performance; to include limited-service impact planning and emergency support requirements.
* Identifies key positions and develops teams required for airfield operations.
* identifies supplies, materials and equipment required and coordinates with logistics to ensure supply chain for critical materials/equipment are established.
* Assists in the analysis of airfield operations with focus on Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) and assurance of meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) associated with improvement of airfield operations and provision of airfield services.
* Coordinates with end user/customers to identify mission critical services and strategies to ensure Quality Customer Service objectives and end-user services and products are met.
* Assists in the supervision/management of all Airfield Services and Operations through subordinate leaders.
* Maintains accountability for project and services implementation compliant with regulations, laws, policies, and procedures.
* Familiar with relevant U.S. and host country laws, regulations, codes, and project/corporate policies and procedures. 
* Provision of timely reporting to PMO and Quality teams in support of CDRL requirements.

Qualifications:

* QUALIFICATIONS

* 5-7 years of working experience as senior airfield manager in charge of airfield operations for U.S. Air Force base or Commercial airport/airfield supporting multiple airframes and multiple airfield operations including, but not limited to Air Traffic Control operations, Airfield Management and Operations, Airfield Safety, Transient Alert Operations, Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting Services, A/DACG Operations, Air Transportation Services, Passenger Terminal Services, Air Cargo Planning and Loading Services, Flightline Operations, Arresting Barrier Operations, NAVAIDS, and Airfield Lighting/Signage. 
* Bachelor's degree in airfield management or a related degree.
* Ability to apply U.S. Air Force Instructions, IATA Regulations, ICAO Standards, and host nation military and civilian air operations policies and procedures.
* Experience in developing base specific policies and procedures for the conduct of airfield operations at a forward location in accordance with established governance.
* Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and management skills with ability to work with team comprised of U.S., foreign, and local national personnel.
* Demonstrable proficiency in MS Office suite (or comparable), Primavera P6/Suretrak/MS Project, SharePoint, and project management platforms.
* Previous experience working as senior airfield manager in charge of airfield operations in the Middle East (preferably in Iraq or Afghanistan). 
* Process oriented with ability to document current practices while identifying opportunities for Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) in support of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and strategic goals. 
* Strategic leader who is calm and capable of developing and building strong relationships with internal and external customers focused on meeting/ exceeding expectations while working under extreme pressure.
* Ability to promote integrity and business ethics; demonstrate mature judgment, trust, and open communication.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize work schedules.

* PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

* Masters' degree in Airfield Management. 
* Recent senior level flight management experience (military or civilian) with responsibility to oversee fighter-wing operations in support of F-16 fighter aircraft.
* Previous military assignment as air base or airfield manager responsible for tactical wing and air mobility operations.
* Prior government contracting or Military Experience in the Middle East preferred.

* REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

* Must pass a basic physical and background checks sufficient for duty in an overseas contingency/military environment.

* Working Conditions

* Must be capable of working in an extreme weather condition with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
* Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
* Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

* Physical Requirements

* Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
* Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
* Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
* Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
