Overview:
This position is physically located in Iraq
Supervises an Air Travel Section for a US Government contract by providing strong leadership of all operations in the Travel Section. The Air Pax Specialist (lead) shall be able to read and interpret military orders and be familiar with and train subordinates on applicable booking regulations and Official Travel documentation requirements. Must be knowledgeable in JTF Regulations as well as local and Global Travel Program regulations and policies. Must also be knowledgeable with the Fly America Act. Must provide oversight and direction of personnel and subcontractors. Responsible for monitoring, interpreting, and distributing CTO Airlift reports and other related reports as stated in the PWS for Official Travel, Unofficial Travel, and R&R Leave. This job requires strong communication and customer skills, both written and verbal. Must be knowledgeable in GATES System and able to perform this function if/when GATES operator is unavailable. Must possess great attention to detail as well as organizational and supervisory skills. Must have the flexibility to adapt to ever-changing mission priorities and needs. Must be proficient in Microsoft applications and possess a strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities:

* Supervises the processing and control of all air travel movement records and documents.
* Provides technical direction and oversight of subcontract personnel to ensure service requirements are met according to contract requirements.
* Develops, adapts, and implements policies and procedures to ensure the operational effectiveness of Air Travel operations to support contract requirements based on industry best practices.
* Provides training and supervision for personnel using automated computer systems and programs to process Air Travel (SABRE, GATES).
* Develops, implements, and maintains cost controls and identifies potential cost savings initiatives.
* Implements continuous improvements to include motivating staff to promote ultimate traveler/customer satisfaction.
* Analyzes CBA/IBA Reconciliation Reports and Refund Reports to identify any potential discrepancies.
* Identifies training deficiencies and conducts on-the-job training as required.
* Ensures that all employees follow established guidance regarding quality, training, and safety programs.
* Ensures proper maintenance and control of all publications, forms, and files required for air travel operations.
* Compiles/reviews data and submits reports as required.
* Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications:
* Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Use the guide below to determine education and experience for this position.
* High School graduate; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered as a substitute.
* A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and host nation Driver's License, is required.
* OCN Qualifications/Experience Requirements:
* Five years' experience in Global/Travel management.
* Corporate online Booking Tools. (Sabre/GDS)
* Travel agency management.
* Work experience with AFI 24-101 (Preferred).
* Skills:
* Must possess excellent attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* Must have the flexibility to adapt to ever-changing mission priorities and needs.
* Must have strong analytical skills.
* Must be proficient in Microsoft applications and possess a strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
* Outstanding oral and written communications skills required.
* Working Conditions:
* Must be capable of working in an extreme weather condition with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
* Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
* Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
* Physical Requirements:
* Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
* Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
* Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
* Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
