Overview: POSITION SUMMARY: * The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant PA), Oncology is a member of a collaborative team who is responsible for providing care to a diverse population of patients seeking oncology services. * The APP Oncology will perform a variety of functions including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention within their scope of practice. * Performs ongoing communication and works to promote quality of care through collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other care team members, patients and families. * The APP Oncology demonstrates service excellence and accountability through recognizing the direct relationship between cost-effective and efficient provision of care and services including the impact of access to care. Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Education: Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies. * Licensure / Certification: * American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS * Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics * Illinois Registered Nurse License, and an Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse License, or an Illinois Physician Assistant License * Other Skills/ Knowledge: * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
