Responsibilities:
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is fulfilling our vision of transforming healthcare by expanding our Center for Cardiovascular Health team.
We have an opportunity for a 1.0 FTE Advanced Practice Provider in Tacoma, Washington at our Electrophysiology Lab located at St. Joseph Hospital.
* Center for Cardiovascular Health: The Center for Cardiovascular Health at VMFH encompasses over 150 providers, including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, advanced heart failure specialists, cardiac imaging specialists, vascular surgeons, thoracic surgeons, cardiac surgeons and anesthesiologists, among other specialists. Our programs have achieved significant recognition within the region and nationally for our quality and outcomes. We are a high volume program performing over 1100 open heart surgeries, 2400 PCIs and 2000 ablations annually. We provide care for over 200,000 patients in our cardiology clinics annually and provide inpatient services for our healthcare system that includes over 1500 beds and 8 hospitals in the Greater Seattle Area.
Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner:
* 2+ years advanced practice work experience preferred.
* Washington State Registered Nurse License and an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License are required for this job.
* Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers may be required depending on the position, as well as prescriptive authority.
* Advanced background in nursing; an understanding of anatomy, physiology, histology, and pharmacology; and strong interpersonal and counseling skills.
* Certification by specialty area as well as work experience in specialty area may be required, depending on the position.
* ACLS preferred
* BLS required
OR
Physician Assistant-C:
* 2+ years advanced practice work experience preferred.
* This position requires Certification as a Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington.
* ACLS preferred
* BLS required
