Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Advanced Gastroenterologist to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Practice Highlights * Must be able to complete ERCP and EUS procedures * Use of Spyglass equipment * One healthcare system based in the Albuquerque metro area including two clinics, two labs and two hospital locations * Work with a team of gastroenterologists and Advanced Practice Clinicians * Expected work schedule; Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM * Rounds with patients in the GI Lab 3 days per week * Clinic patient visits 1 days per week * High volume procedures Responsibilities: Summary: Serves as an Advanced Procedures staff physician in Gastroenterology. Responsibilities: * Delivers clinical care to patients in the PMG GI practice * Supervises the care delivered by APCs in the PMG GI practice * Supervises and leads special clinical programs delivered by the MDs and/or APCs in the PMG GI practice. For example Hepatitis C program. * Support mechanisms to gather and report quality measures * Participates in chart reviews and risk management reviews. * Receives and resolves patient, staff and provider complaints. * Leads the development and implementation of standard clinical and service action plans * Creates an environment that motivates physicians and staff to provide excellent care and service to patients in order to enhance patient experience * Works with the leadership team including DPO, MSO, clinic manager and lab manager on the practices financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues. * Participates in the recruitment and retention of physicians and staff who work in the practice * Takes corrective action when arranged with accountability and authority * Supports the APC Medical Director * Performs other functions as required Credentials Required M.D./D.O. in Gastroenterology. Current New Mexico License required. Board certified in Gastroenterology with additional Advanced Endoscopy fellowship or Minimum ten (10) years practice experience in Gastroenterology with ERCP/EUS Case Logs to support competency Qualifications: Type of Opportunity: Full Time FTE: 1.000000
