Overview:
Administrative Support Specialist
Starting at $16.50 per hour
ON-SITE
The Administrative Support Specialist will provide support to the both the central business office and hospital staff by filling all records requests in regards to outstanding accounts receivables.
Responsibilities:
* Inventory, review, follow-up, and respond to all medical records and itemized bill requests as required for payment.
* Send out priority mail for the department and document the tracking information for our records.
* Compile information for patient and insurance refund packets.
* Communicate with facilities and/or patients regarding additional information needed for payment of claims.
* Document in the Medhost system all verbal and written activities relative to that account.
* Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* One year of customer service experience - Retail/Hospitality/Banking/Healthcare
Preferred:
* Knowledge of indemnity insurance practices, contracts and managed care ideal.
* Computer Skills
* Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Ability to work with multiple programs simultaneously.
* Good interpersonal skills including: face-to-face, verbal, electronic, and telephonic.
