Responsibilities:
Essential functions as the Administrative Assistant include but are not limited to:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for administrative support functions including the overall office management.
* Greet parents, students and visitors and manage sign-in/out procedures.
* Answer and direct all phone calls and messages.
* Assist school leadership with the day-to-day operations of the school.
* Coordinate classroom and office supply ordering and inventory tracking.
* Handle and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail, faxes and deliveries.
* Assist with student enrollment activities as needed.
* Receive and process tuition payments as necessary.
* Support in preparing and maintaining a safe, healthy, inviting, nurturing and engaging environment for all children, families, and colleagues.
* Support special projects and events.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and Skills:
Education (including licenses, certifications):
* High School Diploma or GED
* Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience required and preferred:
* Minimum of 1 year administrative support experience. 3 years administrative support experience preferred.
* Experience and comfort with office equipment and software word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheets and calendar management. Google workspace experience is a plus.
Skill Competencies:
* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - and the ability to communicate with visitors and employees at all levels
* Ability to work autonomously
* Ability to act on anticipated needs of administrative office and leadership team
* Effectively manage time, expectations and workspace
* Comfortable adapting to new processes and equipment.
* Demonstrate a high comfort working with diverse populations and an understanding of the cultural and social barriers that can exist when accessing educational services.
