Responsibilities: The Adjunct Nursing Faculty implements classroom, lab, and/or clinical instruction. Each of these includes teaching, evaluating and counselling students and professional growth. * Documents student progress in a timely manner. Keeps students informed of progress and returns graded material in a timely manner. Develops a plan of action when necessary. * Acts as a role model for students. Provides support to students, faculty, and nursing staff. 3. Uses problem-solving skills when dealing with student and client issues; incorporates psychosocial, cultural, communication, spiritual, safety and evidence-based nursing aspects into educational activities. * Demonstrates ability to work with diverse groups of learners. Generational, cultural and age-specific considerations are included in educational approaches 5. Designs and revises educational activities utilizing principles of adult learning theory. * Works collaboratively with Administration, Faculty, Medical Center Staff and affiliating agencies to optimize student learning experiences. Follows School policies and procedures. Participates in accreditation and evaluation processes. Complete E-Learning and Healthstream. Communicates with appropriate faculty and staff about student schedules in the clinical area, assignments and objectives. 7. Evaluates and summarizes feedback from students. * Evaluates effectiveness and outcomes of educational endeavors. Plans, supervises, and evaluates clinical, laboratory, and/or theoretical performance to foster clinical judgment. 9. Uses a variety of creative teaching strategies and delivery methods. * Implements activities that involve learners, promotes critical thinking and technical skills competencies. * Maintains flexibility while managing roles and responsibilities. * Promotes self-development by remaining current in skills, practice area knowledge, advances in technologies and research. * Keeps current in specialty area by attending in-service programs, workshops, seminars and conventions. Is a member of a professional nursing organization and participates in professional and community activities. 14. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. * Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior. Qualifications: Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: * Masters Degree in Nursing * Graduate of an accredited nursing program * Minimum of two years of active nursing experience. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: * DNP/PhD Licenses and Certifications Required: * NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License. * BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification. Licenses and Certifications Preferred: National League for Nursing Certification.
