Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY: The College of Nursing Adjunct Assistant Professor APN is a member of the academic faculty entrusted with the development, implementation, evaluation, and optimization of the College of Nursing's program(s) curricula. The Professor serves the college, its students, faculty, staff, the profession, and community and is expected to participate and contribute to nursing scholarship through research activities, presentations, or publications. Each faculty member is expected to abide by and promote the Mission, philosophy, and expected outcomes of the college and its programs within the philosophic framework and policies of OSF HealthCare and the College Board. Adjunct faculty appointments reflect a limited assignment for one or more specific courses and/or semesters.
Must be working clinically as a FNP
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Education: Masters Degree
* Experience: Teaching experience 2 years of experience in clinical nursing practice; 1 year of experience as an APN
* Licensure/ Certifications: APN - Advanced Practice RN, current CPR
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Education: Doctoral degree from accredited college or university
* Other: Behavior reflecting "Code of Ethics for Nurses" (American Nurses Association, 2008)
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Record of refereed paper/posters at professional meetings
* Record of referred publications
* Knowledge of teaching/learning theories and curriculum design E
* vidence of continued self-development within profession Record of scholarly presentations or publications
