Acute Surgeon Opportunity:
Responsibilities:

Acute Care Surgeon position is responsible for the management of acute, non-trauma general surgical consults from the ED and inpatient setting at St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, WA. St. Anthony Hospital is a level 4 trauma center with all major traumas diverted to nearby level 1 or 2 centers in the Seattle/Tacoma area. Our hospital has two other general surgeons with an elective practice at this location.
* 26 weeks a year
* 13 weeks of 7 days and nights
* 13 weeks Monday - Friday 7 am - 5pm
* On Call is set at 1:4 or less
Compensation approximately $300,000 including pay for night call. Any additional days worked beyond the required shifts are paid at our per diem rate. Opportunities exist for extra work, but not required. Qualifications:
* Board Certification (ABS)
* At least 2 years of experience with general surgery cases following training
* Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA.
* Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority.
* Interest and ability to work with medical students and residents.
