Overview:
This is a full-time, hybrid career opportunity based out of our Corporate Headquarters location in Lancaster, PA.
The primary responsibility of this position is to process, execute and reconcile transactions for accounts payable and fixed assets, cash and due reconcilements, sales tax and escheat processing.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for following corporate and department policies and procedures to ensure that invoices and expense reports are in compliance with policies and procedures.
* Responsible for entering invoices into accounts payable system, processing checks in a four-day turnaround time schedule, and for processing journal entries associated with check processing.
* Review and approve expense reports in Chrome River software.
* Responsible for the set-up of new vendors by obtaining IRS form W9 and/or form W-8BEN for foreign vendors and maintaining the vendor file.
* Maintain a working knowledge of the corporation's current capitalization policy. Assign fixed asset coding per the current fixed asset schedule, upload fixed assets to the fixed asset system.
* Analyze bank statements and reconcile to general ledger. Determine the type of transaction and the department responsible for processing and notify responsible department for clearing of items. Initiate research and follow-up of open items. Following policy, determine the eligibility of exception items for write-off and recommend to Accounting Operations Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education
Associate Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Business or other applicable. (Preferred)
High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required)
Experience
5 or more years accounts payable, fixed assets, and reconcilements. (Required)
2 or more years sales tax and escheat processing. (Preferred)
