Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
* Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
* Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers and controller.
* Modifies, documents, and coordinates the accounting system and accounting control procedures.
* Prepares and reviews intercompany transactions.
* Analyzes and documents balance sheet and income statement fluctuations.
* Documents and assists in the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
* Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of assets and expenditures.
* Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
* Responsible for reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and preparation of month-end, adjusted journal entries.
* Responsible for accounts-payable functions on property.
* Assists with SEC disclosure preparation in partnership with shared services support team.
* Responsible for the administration of corporate fixed assets (including, but not limited to, additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation).
* Assists in management and implementation of capital budget within property specific guidelines.
* Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
* Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
* Develops and implements procedural policies for audits, make corrections or revisions as needed, and cooperate with internal and external auditors as needed.
* Assist with preparation of company financial statements and tax filings.
* Responsible for completion of certain quarterly analytics and review of financial information.
* Support accounting functions as needed at the property level including addressing any issues that may arise and provide input for corrections and process improvements as needed.
* Creates financial spreadsheets and updates information on a regular basis.
* Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to executive leaders or general management.
* Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

* Associate's/Technical Degree or bachelor's degree; three to five (3-5) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Advanced computer knowledge including MS Office, Oracle, COUPA and accounting software is preferred.
* Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests and regulatory agencies.
* Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and guests.
* Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
* Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret various metrics, financial reports, and legal documents.
* Must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
