Our Accountant will support all aspects of accounting and reporting processes, have end-to-end process ownership to support operations, finance, and other business partners, ensure compliance with the accounting under the US GAAP, and provide accounting guidance and often serve as first point of contact for finance and business partners to resolve issues. This position will report to the Manager of Accounting (Operations), and will work closely with finance and business team members. This position will be integral within the Controllership with the ability to grow within your career

Responsibilities:
You Will . . .
* Support the financial statement month-end close process through timely and effective preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and managing close deliverables
* Perform analyses regarding monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
* Effective communication - Present and explain results to the senior members of the team
* Collaborate with finance and operational team members, to ensure policies and procedures are effectively communicated and followed
* Comply with key financial controls
* Assist in Internal Reporting with timely preparation of selected Board pages
* Prepare and update financial reporting packages for Leadership
* Assist in the design and implementation of process improvements, including standardization, enhancements and potential automation of existing processes and systems
* Support in the execution of the audits and quarterly reviews
* Effectively collaborate cross-functionally with various departments and operations teams
* Work on special projects and other tasks assigned
* Perform other duties as directed, including special divisional assignments

The Accountant role could have opportunities to move up or within the Accounting and/or Finance Organization or take on operational leadership roles within Orkin and/or other Brands.

* Work Environment: This is an in-office position with the opportunity for hybrid working arrangements once onboarded and trained. Our corporate office is located in the Buckhead/Midtown area of Atlanta (2170 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30324). Must currently reside in the Atlanta metro area.

Qualifications:
The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):
* Accounting degree required
* CPA or CPA in process, preferred
* 2+ years of finance and accounting experience with a public or large private company
* Experience with a larger, global public company preferred
* Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
* Experience in General Ledger accounting or group consolidation experience in contributing to large complex projects
* Intermediate to advanced excel skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally and concisely
* Must be able to work closely with leaders across all departments
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Independent thinker
* Action oriented
* Skillful in proactively resolving issues and has a continuous improvement mindset
* Service oriented leadership qualities with superior relationship building skills
* Proficiency in ERP systems
* Experience with software and systems implementations is a plus
* Power BI and/or Alteryx experience is a plus
