Overview: Want to kick off an exciting career with a fast-growing SaaS technology business in a complicated, exciting and high-growth area of indirect tax and e-invoicing compliance? We are looking for customer-centric, driven professionals with technical skills, and natural sales instincts to join our Inside Sales group as a Business Development Representative. You will report to the manager of sales development. You will gain experience working with prospects of all levels, in multiple international B2B and B2C organisations. Avalara provides you with modern tech stack tools and offers ongoing coaching support to help you excel in outbound selling. You will learn our SaaS business solutions from the ground up, thus facilitating your rapid career advancement into your first sales closing position. Responsibilities: * Identify and source suitable prospects in main industries across the EMEA (3PM - 11PM IST) * Use ways to engage prospects through structured outbound activities * Generate a pipeline of qualified leads through a range of channels * Build an excellent knowledge of products and services to be sold * Learn and develop skills to operate within this specialized and diverse sector which is largely misunderstood * Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase potential interest in Avalara products * Drive prospect participation in webinars, certification events, and/or conferences * Achieve monthly quotas of outbound interactions by phone, email and other creative tools to improve lead development and sales accepted opportunities * Actively collaborate as a team member within the department and with the organisation as a whole Qualifications: * We prefer 2+ years of outbound B2B experience. * Fluent English Speaker * Persistent and positive * Desire to be in technology sales and determined to succeed * Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects * Software sales experience would be highly desirable #LI-Onsite
