About You: *You have outstanding personal/interpersonal communication skills; openness towards cross culture environments *You have a proven record of leadership, and have shown the ability to motivate diverse teams to accomplish organizational goals *You have sound analytical and problem-solving skills *You are able to maintain effectiveness in a changing, multi-tasking environment *You have a high degree of self-motivation *You have strong interpersonal, listening and verbal and written communication skills Job dimensions: *Reports to the Center Manager *The Academic Director is responsible for overseeing the academic team and improving the teaching quality within the learning center. Main Responsibilities: *Encourage, facilitate and participate in the professional development of teachers *Regularly observe teachers and provide timely feedback *Provide training to the marketing, sales and service teams regarding the academic product *Train and induct teachers in operational procedures *Lead and arrange seminars and workshops in teacher development *Maintain teacher personnel records *Regularly evaluate academic staff and facilitate their professional development *Recruit teachers, in agreement with the CM *Deal with staff concerns promptly and effectively *Write the academic team schedule in accordance with the needs of the center *Complete weekly and monthly academic reports as necessary *Proactively develop local contacts and community initiatives to promote the center *Cooperate with Regional Support Office *Maintain awareness of current ELT develpments; regularly evaluate own performance and progress. *May work 6-18 contact (academic) hours, dependent on the center's needs and discussions with the Center Manager.
