				Overview:

The incumbent in this position is responsible for the performance of required inspections and maintenance of the Seminole Hard Rock Aviation Department aircraft.  The individual performs repairs, inspections and maintenance of the structural, mechanical and electronic elements of the aircraft as assigned by the Director of Maintenance. This individual performs on call service. During call periods this individual will be required to supervise vendor maintenance personnel and coordinate parts procurement, delivery, and installation domestically and internationally. During these travel periods the incumbent coordinates and manages inspections and or repairs with local repair stations.  This position reports to the Director of Maintenance or designee and is an exempt position.

Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

* Performs the required inspections and maintenance of the Seminole Hard Rock Aviation Department's aircraft. Examines and inspects aircraft components, including landing gear, hydraulic systems, and deicers to locate cracks, breaks, leaks, or other problems. Inspects airframes for wear or other defects. Measure parts for wear, using precision instruments. Performs or assists leads or Crew Chief in systems troubleshooting.

* Conducts line service operations, performs maintenance on ground support equipment, test stands, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.  

* Determines aircraft routing to maximize utilization and schedule maintenance requirements
* Performs routine and preventive grounds and equipment maintenance and repair work throughout all small auxiliary airports and helipads operated by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. 
* Assists in maintaining and securing of buildings and grounds, runway, taxiway and aprons. Repairs small cracks, seals and patches to aprons; paints; perform vegetation control activities; removal of nuisance vegetation; clears runway of any foreign objects or debris. 
* Inspects runway lights, storm drains, gutters and culverts to ensure that they are clear of any obstructions. Reports any abnormalities that may cause a safety hazard. 
* Assists with the operation and maintenance of airport systems that may include HVAC, light plumbing, light electrical, hydraulic and mechanical. Performs minor repairs and upkeep to hangar and facilities. 
* Responsible for providing the foregoing services to Seminole Gaming to the extent they are authorized in the Support Services Agreement. Such services shall be provided under the supervision and direction of Seminole Gaming and its duly authorized employees in a manner that is consistent with Internal Control Standards and other applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

* Assists with directing, planning, and laying out details of inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the repair facilities in complying with all applicable FAA regulations and manufacturer's recommendations for Tribal aircraft
* Assists the maintenance manager with projecting and budgeting upcoming maintenance activities for Tribal Aircraft.
* Performs field maintenance services. Travels nationally or internationally to other locations to support maintenance operations, including coordinate parts procurement, delivery, and installation or to recover Tribal aircraft. Manages and coordinates inspections and or repairs with local repair stations. Supervises the work performed by vendor repair staff.
* May serve as the Maintenance Manager in their absence.
* Assists with aircraft records compliance.
* Attends staff meetings, training classes and other activities and events as required. 
* Performs work autonomously with minimal supervision and make sounds decisions in regards to the maintenance and repairs of aircraft.

Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

* Knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Association (FAA) Regulations.
* Knowledge of pertinent technical publications i.e. maintenance manuals, service bulletins, FAA Airworthiness Directives etc.
* Knowledge of theory, operation and integration of aircraft systems.
* Knowledge of inspections and maintenance activities on aircrafts.
* Demonstrate skill in use of tools of the trade, test equipment, test stands, balancing equipment, etc.
* Demonstrate skill with aircraft run-up and taxi.
* Demonstrate skill in systems troubleshooting. 
* Ability to demonstrate proper work methods and techniques.
* Ability to work under the direct supervision of the Director of Maintenance.
* Ability to assist with aircraft records compliance.
* Ability to travel on short notice.
* Ability to supervise vendor maintenance personnel. 
* Ability to coordinate component delivery in support of operations in remote locations. 
* Ability to work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
* Ability to coordinate with leads for the required parts necessary for completion of assignment.
* Ability to serve the Tribal community, the public and fellow employees with honesty and integrity.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the STOF Tribal communities, general public, co-workers, elected and appointed officials.

Qualifications: 

* High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. 
* Airframe and Power Plant license are required. 
* A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the aviation maintenance field with a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in turbine aircraft maintenance are required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. 
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
Airframe and Power Plant license; Inspection Authorization rating; Seven (7) years in the Aviation field; five (5) years of experience operating under Part 135 air carrier; Office of Aircraft Services carded (helicopter); Factory schools in aircraft type the department operates.
