Overview:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Supervisor is an ARNP/PA-C with demonstrated leadership skills and clinical excellence and APP within their department. The APP supervisor plans, schedules, coordinates, and supervises a team of APPs. The APP supervisor collaborates with CH leadership in achieving organizational goals and performance outcomes of APPs in their department. Primary responsibilities include leading and managing staff, including APP department role optimization, performance evaluations, recruitment, hiring, and orientation. This position reports directly to the department practice manager/SLD. Collaborates with the department physician manager.
Responsibilities:
* Approximately 10% of this time is devoted to the team lead administrative duties and 90% to maintaining clinical practice within his/her respective department.

* Works collaboratively with the department leaders (practice manager and physician manager) to evaluate, implement and optimize advanced practice models of care in the department.
* Monitors, responds, and manages appropriate data and reporting including but not limited to APP department retention, well-being, workforce planning, financial performance, wRVU, ambulatory access (if appropriate) and quality performance.
* Assists team in achieving department objectives and goals related to clinical practice, clinical quality, professional development, and provider well-being.
* Performs APP department performance reviews as per CH standards.
* Reviews and responds to APP performance concerns, including RLDatix, process improvement recommendations and resignations/terminations in collaboration with HR.
* Provides timely updates to department leadership when APP performance issues are identified.
* Supports bidirectional communication between providers and department leadership.
* Maintains and fosters a practice culture that embraces change and innovation.
* Represents APPs on their team addressing significant issues and barriers that affect clinical practice, safety, quality, and professionalism.
* Reviews department new APP candidates and conducts interviews/hiring.
* Knowledgeable in department APP pay practices, including market analysis, compensation tiers and wRVU thresholds.
* Participates in review of department physician candidates and interviews.
* Assists in developing and implementation of department new APP clinic-based onboarding, competency assessment and assignment of appropriate APP mentor.
* Coordinates service/team as it relates to APP work/call schedules, workload, holiday coverage, time off requests and general staffing.
* Facilitates and fosters communication to the APP team members through regular written or verbal techniques.
* Assists in scheduling and teaching APP students during clinical rotations within the department.
* Leader in monthly department meetings and case review process as per department.
* Participates in CH committee work.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
* Active Registered Nurse and ARNP licensure or Active Physician Assistant licensure with prescriptive authority in the state of Washington, required by start date.
* Current CH clinical position.
* Active DEA license.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as an APP in respective department.
* Extensive knowledge of applicable state regulatory guidelines.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrate ability to be self-directed and take initiative.
* Knowledge of department policies, procedures, and protocols
* BLS/ACLS certification per department requirement.

Desired:
