Responsibilities: Approximately 100 miles southeast of Fairbanks, Fort Greely provides a truly one-of-a-kind experience to work, live, and play in a scenic Alaskan location with endless opportunities. Fort Greely, Wolf Creek Federal Services, Inc. (WCFSI) provides support for the Missile Defense Command, with a primary focus on maintenance and repair. Work and live in a unique remote location surrounded by wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Enjoy year-round outdoor adventure including hiking, fishing, dog sledding, and aurora watching. Fort Greely is conveniently located nearby Alaska's two largest cities: Anchorage and Fairbanks. These locations provide many big city amenities including shopping, dining, and nightlife. The Air Traffic Controller is responsible for ensuring safe separation of aircraft, coordinating air traffic control clearances, and controlling all flight line activities of all transient aviation. The Air Traffic Controller maintains tower event logs, performs weather observer duties, and issues all relevant notices and approvals for aviation transit activities. Work Model: Onsite/In-Office Qualifications: Essential Duties & Job Functions: * Relay ATC clearances to inbound, outbound and over-flying aircraft. * Provide airfield advisory service to arriving and departing aircraft. * Responsible for the effective operation of the Allan Army Airfield Control Tower. * Transmits Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) as required and maintains Flight Information Publications (FLIPs). * Performs controller duties to include safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic. * Controls and monitors all access and activity on the flight-line Controlled Movement Area (CMA). * Performs other related work as assigned.
