Overview: Medpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO). We provide Phase I-IV clinical development services to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Responsibilities: * Explore and work with different data sources to collate into knowledge; * Work with different business teams across the company with a variety of different business needs to identify potential areas that AI can support; * Manage the process of working through AI potentials from discovery research to PoC to production with the business teams and supporting tasks for IT developers; * Try out different AI tools to substantiate the potential of its use with the business team; * Translate results into compelling visualizations which illustrate the overall benefits of the use of AI and identify with the business team the overall value of its use; * Develop and map database architecture of methodological and clinical data systems; * Convert business tasks into meaningful developer Jira tasks for sprints; * Support departmental process improvement initiatives that can include AI; and * Participate in training and development of more junior team members. Qualifications: * Master's degree or higher in informatics, computer science/engineering, health information, statistics, or related field required; * 2 or more years of experience as a Data Scientist or closely related; * Experience applying machine learning to pharmaceutical or clinical data (or translatable artificial intelligence [ai] techniques from other industries); * Advanced computer programming skills (preferred language: Python); * Analytical thinker with great attention to detail; * Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks within tight timelines; and * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
