We are seeking an AI Automation Engineer to lead how we apply AI internally, with initial focus on our Rollins Home Office functions and teams. This is a unique opportunity to shape how LLMs become embedded in our daily operations. Your goal will be to automate as much work as possible, increasing our productivity and improving the quality of decision-making and efficiency of our internal processes. You'll work closely with teams across the organization to identify high-impact problems and solve them, continually assessing new potential as frontier model capabilities constantly improve. This role is ideal for an engineer who's curious, pragmatic, and motivated by business impact. This role will contribute to Rollins and our approach to internal AI application delivery. Responsibilities: Role Summary and Background: * Develop and maintain internal tools and systems that automate existing work and increase employee productivity using AI * Collaborate with teams across the business to understand pain points and identify high-impact automation or process improvement opportunities * Rapidly prototype small AI-enabled utilities or automations and deploy into production * Review and collaborate with IT Leaders on AI architecture, libraries, or technologies * Debug complex systems across frontend and backend services when AI cannot * Act as a high-trust owner of systems that may handle sensitive data or business-critical logic * Work cross-functionally to ensure tools are adopted and deliver value * Stay up to date on the latest AI developments * Evaluate machine learning processes * Collect and analyze large amounts of data * Collaborate with other team members to establish goals for AI processes * Evaluate the effectiveness of AI The Benefits: * Challenging position with a financially stable and reputable company * Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, maternity & life insurance * 401(k) plan with company match, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) * Discounts, tuition reimbursement, dependent scholarship awards * Paid Time Off * Work Environment: This is an in-office position with the opportunity for hybrid working arrangements once onboarded and trained. We invite you to learn more about Rollins careers as well as our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts on our careers page: Rollins Careers Qualifications: The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements): Formal Education & Certification * 2 or 4-year degree in the field of information systems * 2-5 years work experience * Certifications in AI or other data related disciplines Knowledge & Experience * Exposure or experience creating LLM-backed tools involving prompt engineering and automated evals * Exposure or experience in full-stack development with strong skills in Python, React and JavaScript * Exposure or experience in LLMs and AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Skills and Attributes Desired: * Analytical and problem-solving abilities * Excellent debugging skills * Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset * Entrepreneurial mindset * A natural collaborator who enjoys being a partner and creating value with others * High level of ownership and accountability, especially with sensitive or business-critical data * Ability to conduct research, proactively learn, and apply to work * Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills * Highly self-motivated and a continuous learner * Team-oriented and skilled in working within a cross functional, collaborative environment Physical Demands / Working Environment: * We require the ability to pass a drug screen and background checks.
