Overview: UnityPoint Clinic Radiology Technologist - Rad Tech Sunnybrook Urgent Care Sioux City, IA PRN - As Needed Nights/Weekends/Holidays Responsibilities: The Radiologic Technologist plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care services by performing diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced, ambulatory care environment. This position assists providers and clinical staff in delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring all imaging and radiologic procedures meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. * Perform diagnostic x-ray exams as ordered by providers using proper exposure techniques (MA, KV, time, and distance). * Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients and families to ensure comfort and understanding. * Apply radiation protection practices in accordance with regulatory and safety standards. * Maintain sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination. * Conduct regular quality control checks on radiologic and darkroom equipment to ensure optimal image quality. * Complete and maintain appropriate imaging records and referral logs. * Ensure all x-ray films and images are stored, tracked, and reviewed in a timely manner. Qualifications: * Registered as a Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) prior to hire * Current Iowa permit to practice radiologic technology. * Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred * Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
